The fourth Nepal Buildcon and Nepal Wood International Exhibition-2074 has begun at Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu, from Friday.
Media Special Solution Pvt Ltd and Futurex Trade Fair and Events Pvt Ltd have jointly organized the expo that will run till February 11.
The expo will focus on showcasing advanced construction technologies, inspiring innovative products and services for maximum exposure of the construction sector in Nepal. More than 200 domestic and international companies and brands are participating in this international expo.
The highlight of the exhibition are heavy construction equipment, wood and woodwork machineries, pre-fab structures, UPVC windows machinery, UPVC profile, doors and windows, architectural hardware, bathroom fittings, pipes, laminates, veneers , plywood , tiles and sanitary ware, among others.
Similarly, architectures, engineers, builders and interior designers of Nepal are also participating in the expo.
Inaugurating the expo, Deputy Prime Minister and Energy Minister Kamal Thapa expressed belief that the expo would help economic development of Nepal.
He said that Nepal could take benefit from development of other countries like India.
Likewise, Indian Ambassador to Nepal Manjeev Singh Puri said that India has always wanted Nepal's economic, social and cultural development.
