Minister for Land Reforms and Management Gopal Dahit has laid emphasis on making land administration smooth, transparent and technology-friendly.
Dahit said so after inaugurating the two-day workshop of land reforms and revenue officers of province no 1 and 2 organized by the Department of Land Reforms and Management at Itahari Wednesday.
He clarified that the campaign of making luck and future of all Nepali people bright would be materialized if land could be utilized as the main resource for making the country prosperous.
Dahit drew the attention of all saying, the capital gains tax of land should be introduced in a transparent and scientific manner to ensure the state’s prosperity.
He said that he would participate in the workshop as he is aware that no one is perfect and has knowledge in all matters and added that all employees working land reforms and revenue offices should be responsible towards the people.
Similarly, Chief District Officer of Sunsari district, Gopal Prasad Parajuli, Mayor of Itahari Sub-Metropolitan City, Dwarika Lal Chaudhary, among others, also expressed their views on the workshop chaired by Director General of Department of Land Reforms and Management, Mukti Prasad Acharya.
Working papers on capital gains tax and land administration would be presented in the workshop.
