Ghimire takes charge of CIAA

Nabin Kumar Ghimire has begun works as the acting chief commissioner of the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA). He was appointed the CIAA Commissioner on April 2, 2015. He assumed the duties of CIAA acting chief from Wednesday as per the Article 20 of the Act related to remuneration, terms of service and facilities of office-bearers of the constitutional bodies, CIAA spokesperson Padam Prasad Pandeya said in a press statement Wednesday. Deep Basnyat, who had been in the CIAA chief post since May 22, 2017 was retired on February 13, Tuesday due to age-limit.
