President Bidya Devi Bhandari has wished peace, prosperity and happiness to all people from the Sherpa community living in the country and abroad on the occasion of the Gyalbo Lhosar.
Giving a message of best wishes Friday, President expressed hope the festival would foster unity, harmony and fraternity among all Nepali people. "The festival of cultural importance popularizes Nepal with its distinct identity across the globe. So, all sides should pay attention for the protection and promotion of such festival and cultures,' she underscored in the message.
On the same occasion, Vice-President Nanda Bahadur Pun wished peace, prosperity and happiness to all Sherpa sisters and brothers who are living in the country and abroad.
In the best wishes message given today, Vice-President Pun expressed the belief that the festival would further enhance harmony, tolerance and fraternity among the people.
Similarly, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has extended best wishes to all people from the Sherpa community living in the country and abroad.
Giving a message of best wishes on the occasion of the Gyalbo Lhosar today, PM Oli said the first priority of the government is making Nepali happy and country prosperous.
"As Nepal is rich in natural resources, the government will work to create employment with the maximum use of resources and lead the country towards development. In the priority of the government, I believe, the Sherpa community will support," the PM said in the message.
PM Oli also reiterated the commitment for country, peace, democracy and the guarantee of the fundamental rights of the people.
