The coordination committee for unification of CPN-UML and CPN (Maoist Center) will meet on Sunday. But the time of the meeting has yet to be decided.
The issue of ideological line had created distance between the two parties. But UML Chairman KP Oli and his Maoist counterpart Pushpa Kamal Dahal had a one-on-one meeting on Saturday and decided to hold the coordination committee meeting on Sunday.
Dahal has already said the two parties will now have a package agreement. The two parties are preparing to forge a package agreement on all issues including the unified party's organization until the general convention, sharing of the posts of president, vice president, speaker, government ministries and others.
Maoist Center has not joined the Oli government despite supporting Oli for the post of prime minister (PM). The last coordination committee meeting held before Oli was appointed PM had failed to reach any conclusion.
