SC issues interim order not to immediately install embossed numbers

The Supreme Court (SC) on Thursday has issued an interim order not to immediately install the embossed number plates in the vehicles. A single bench of Chief Justice (CJ) Gopal Prasad Parajuli on Thursday has issued such order on the writ petition filed by Bharat Basnet. Basnet had filed a writ petition stating that the embossed number seemed like the Indian number plates. The Department of Transport Management (DoTM) had started to install the embossed number plates in the vehicles on August 21. The SC has issued such order while the DoTM has started to install the embossed numbers in the motorcycles as well.
