All of the benches in the Supreme Court (SC) have been postponed after demise of former Supreme Court justice Ram Nagina Singh.
"A full meeting of the justices has decided not to continue any benches today on the demise of former SC justice Singh," SC Communication expert Kishor Paudel said.
The benches in other courts are continuing. Paudel informed that other administrative works in the top court are also underway.
The former SC justice Singh passed away on Sunday.
With this, the recording of statement on the contempt of court case against Kantipur has also been postponed. The joint bench of SC justices Dambar Bahadur Shahi and Bam Kumar Shrestha had heard the case on Sunday. Director of Kantipur Media Group (KMG) Swostika Sirohiya had given statement to the justice duo.
Chairman of KMG Kailash Sirohiya, Editor-in-Chief of Kantipur Kailash Sirohiya and correspondent Krishna Gyawali were scheduled to give their statement on Monday.
