The Federal Socialist Forum Nepal (FSFN) is set to send two ministers to join the KP Sharma Oli-led government.
The party agreed to join the government with two ministerial berths after holding several phases of meeting.
A CPN-UML leader close to PM Oli confirmed about the probability of the Cabinet expansion by inducting two FSFN leaders on March 15.
The FSFN has also demanded one state minister. It has also demanded two development-related ministries. According to the leader, the party has asked two out of physical planning or energy, urban development or agriculture ministries.
The party had earlier decided to join the Oli-led government. The party leaders are holding a meeting to decide on giving vote of confidence for the prime minister today.
Meanwhile, the UML leader also further informed that Rastriya Janata Party Nepal (RJP) has not yet decided on joining the government.
The party is eager to join the government and PM Oli is also in favor of inducting the party. However, some leaders in CPN ( Maoist Center) and the UML are of the view that RJP should not be inducted in the government.
In the extended meeting of Maoist Center, leaders including Narayan Kaji Shrestha have argued that RJP should not be inducted in the government.
"The spirit of the people's mandate is also not for RJP joining the government," a Maoist leader said, "RJP should not be brought into the government also as respect for the agendas we took to the voters and the the votes they gave us."
Most of the second-rung leaders of UML have also been arguing that RJP should not be inducted in the government.
Meanwhile, the RJP has also decided to give vote of confidence to PM Oli.
