Prime Minister (PM) KP Sharma Oli is likely to visit India in the second week of April.
"We are talking about PM's visit in second week of April. But the date has yet to be confirmed," Foreign Minister Pradeep Gyawali said. "Bilateral talks are on to confirm the date."
Indian PM Narendra Modi had invited his counterpart Oli for India visit while congratulating him after being appointed as PM. Indian External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj also visited Nepal before Oli's appointment on his invitation.
Oli had also visited India from February 18-26, 2016 during his first term as PM. But the two countries had failed to even issue a joint statement due to the lingering tension after the six-month Indian blockade that had ended just before the Oli's visit.
