Only announcement of party unification remains: Home Minister Thapa

Minister for Home Affairs Ram Bahadur Thapa has said that only the announcement of party unification has remained as all issues related to both parties have already been finalized. Talking to media persons here Monday, Thapa said that the basis for political ideology and organizational bases, remaining to be finalized, have also been prepared. He clarified that they failed to make announcement of party unification on April 22, the establishment day of Nepal Communist Party, due to some minor technical problems. The Home Minister said, "There are no any issues remaining to be finalized. So, party unification will be announced soon." He said that the issues related to adjustment of all leaders of CPN (Maoist Center) and CPN-UML have been settled through interim statute. On a different note, Thapa said that organizational structure of police administration would be federal and provincial, adding that the Council of Ministers has already issued executive order for the same.
