Indian Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi will visit Nepal on May 11.
PM KP Sharma Oli has endorsed the two-day visit of Modi proposed by the Indian side, according to a Baluwatar source. "There were also talks to push it back a little further. But the date was eventually confirmed as per the Indian proposal," the source added.
Modi will also visit Janakpur during his visit. He will be felicitated there.
The Foreign Ministry, on its part, said preparations have yet to start even as discussions are on about the visit.
The Indian media has already made the date of Modi's visit public but the Indian government has yet to confirm it.
This is the third time Modi is visiting Nepal. He had first visited Nepal in August, 2014 immediately after becoming PM and then returned here for the 18th SAARC Summit less than four months later.
