The Supreme Court (SC) on Tuesday has instructed to not implement the rules set up by some local bodies requiring the elected people's representatives to admit their kids only in community schools.
A single bench of Acting Chief Justice (CJ) Deepak Raj Joshi hearing the writ filed by Dilli Acharya of Chapakot municipality has issued an interim order to that regard.
The Apex Court has called both the parties of the case for hearing to decide whether to give continuity to the interim order or not.
Acharya had moved the court arguing that his kids were denied the rights to education by the binding rule as his wife is an elected representative.
