Prime Minister (PM) and Chairman of the Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) KP Sharma Oli took another chairman of the party Pushpa Kamal Dahal to Dhumbarahi on Friday.
Dahal has reached the building that functioned as the central office of erstwhile CPN-UML since the earthquake of April 25, 2015 for the first time. The board at the party office was changed to CPN from CPN-UML before Dahal reached there.
General Secretary Bishnu Paudel welcomed Dahal with a bouquet.
CPN leader and the then secretary of UML central office Krishna Gopal Shrestha showed Dahal and Oli around the office.
PM Oli then took Dahal to his office room. Shrestha lifted a chair kept for visitors and arranged it behind the table.
Oli and Dahal then sat in two chairs behind one table.
Other leaders of CPN were also present to welcome Dahal at Dhumbarahi. Dahal smiled back when Bam Dev Gautam said "We welcome you comrade."
The unified party will now use the central office of erstwhile CPN-UML at Dhumbarahi as its central office.
The central office of erstwhile Maoist Center in Paris Danda, meanwhile, will house the offices of the sister organizations.
PM Oli also visited the office in Paris Danda with Dahal today itself and garlanded a martyr memorial constructed in tribute to the Maoist rebels who lost their lives during the armed insurgency.
