Discussion over different topics related to the Ministry for Physical Infrastructure and Transport under the Appropriation Bill-2075 BS has begun at the House of Representatives (HoR) today.
Taking part in the discussion, Prem Suwal of Nepal Workers and Peasants Party presented a proposal for curtailing the budget of Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport to Re 1, while Durga Poudel of Rastriya Janamorcha proposed for reducing Rs 100 in the budget of the Ministry.
Similarly, Bahadur Lama on the behalf of Dr Amaresh Kumar Singh of Nepali Congress also presented the expenditure reduction proposal, saying Rs 100 should be curtailed in the budget of the Ministry.
Now, discussion has begun after completion of presenting the expenditure curtailing proposal by lawmakers.
Yogesh Bhattarai said that it is good to distribute budget on equitable basis.
Likewise, Gyan Kumari Chhantyal said that there is lack of necessary budget in construction of physical infrastructures.
Rani Mandal of Rastriya Janata Party-Nepal, Renuka Gurung of Federal Socialist Forum Nepal and Narayan Prasad Khatiwada of Communist Party of Nepal urged to complete the under construction road-related projects.
Blaming the government for not bringing the budget as per the policies and programs, Sanjay Prasad Gautam of Nepali Congress suggested moving ahead amending the budget.
Similarly, Khem Prasad Lohani of CPN urged the government to make arrangement of necessary budget in road construction of Dhading district while Rajendra Kumar KC and Atahar Kamal Musalman criticised the government, saying it failed to bring the budget as per federal structure.
