Pushpa Lal Memorial Day being observed today (Photos)

The 40th memorial day of the founder general secretary of the Communist Party of Nepal, Pushpa Lal Shrestha, is being marked by organizing various programs across the country on Monday. The communist party was formed under his leadership in 2006 BS in Nepal. The ruling Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) has moved ahead by assimilating the principles of leader Shrestha and it has helped the party to be competitive, progressive and anti feudalistic during 70 years of communist party's establishment. According to CPN central member Krishna Gopal Shrestha, a program has been scheduled to offer tribute on leader Shrestha's statue at Champa Devi of Kirtipur Monday morning. Similarly, party chairman and Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal, among other senior leaders are scheduled to address the Memorial Day program at city hall Monday afternoon. The CPN spokesperson Narayan Kaji Shrestha said that they were following the principles propounded by leader Pushpa Lal. He added that moving toward socialism was the need of hour and the campaign of Pushpa Lal as well.
