Speaking at a special time of the upper house session Thursday, most of the lawmakers demanded the government provide relief assistance to the survivors of landslides and floods. Kali Prasad Malla, Ramesh Prasad Yadav and Bhairav Sundar Shrestha drew the government attention toward supplying relief assistance to survivors of natural disasters in Jajarkot district and the construction of bridges at emergency areas for the convenience of people. Dhan Kumari Khatiwada termed the decision to give the Radio Nepal's land on a lease without informing the local level 'illegal'. Anita Devkota accused the local level of imposing tax on people in an arbitrary manner while Bimala Rai Poudel of paying less attention to the housing constructions for earthquake survivors. Rampreet Paswan lambasted the government for its apathy toward the improvement of poor road conditions. Kabita Bogati, Durga Prasad Upadhyaya and Nainkala Ojha drew the government attention to other contemporary issues.
