MoU on establishment of BIMSTEC Grid Interconnection signed

Foreign Ministers of the BIMSTEC member states on Friday signed the MoU on the establishment of BIMSTEC Grid Interconnection. The member states of BIMSTEC have signed the agreement to establish the BIMSTEC Grid for energy cooperation. Indian, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, Myanmar and Thailand are the member states of BIMSTEC. Nepal has already signed the Power Trade Agreement with India and Bangladesh. With the agreement to establish the BIMSTEC Grid, Nepal has paved the way for power trade.
