CPN leader Bam Dev Gautam has proposed to cut rights of Prime Minister (PM) KP Sharma Oli in the party and make Pushpa Kamal Dahal, who is currently chairman along with Oli, the sole chairman.
Presenting a different opinion in the party’s standing committee meeting on Saturday he has demanded implementation of one person, one position policy and give sole responsibility of chairmanship to Dahal to make the party effective.
He has also demanded that the government should not take important decisions without briefing the party’s standing committee. He has proposed party’s control and restriction over the government in his 16-page written proposal. He has demanded that the party’s standing committee and politburo be made powerful.
“The provision requiring mandatory presence of both the chairmen to chair any committee should be removed,” Gautam adds. “We should diligently implement one person, one major responsibility in all the party’s committees.”
The proposal for implementation of one person, one major responsibility in all the party’s committees means making only one chairman even at the center, and handing over that responsibility only to Dahal as he has already proposed that chairman PM should pay more attention for effective operation of the government.
Gautam has given six different suggestions through the different report titled ‘My opinion presented in the standing committee about managing the party and government.’ There are 67 subpoints included in those six points.
He has also demanded central committee meeting within 15 days, presentation of a report drafted in a self-critical manner, and ending the provision of giving any leader special rights.
