Province 1 forms committee to celebrate Democracy Day

Province 1 has formed a 501-member main committee under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Sherdhan Rai to celebrate the 69th Democracy Day for three days from Monday. Various programs as illumination at government offices, industrial centers, and educational and private institutions, morning rally, sanitation, and distribution of fruits at child rehabilitation center and Koshi Hospital, among others would be organized as part of the celebration. The committee has urged the province chapter of the Federation of Nepali Journalists to hold dialogues and discussion on democracy. Minister for Internal Affairs and Law Hikmat Kumar Karki said the Democracy Day would be celebrated with optimum mobilization of the resources.
