Federal Socialist Forum Nepal (FSFN) and Rastriya Janata Party Nepal (RJP) have finalized ticket sharing in Province 2 for the upcoming federal and provincial elections following a meeting Tuesday morning.
The two parties have agreed to provide tickets to FSFN candidates in 17 constituencies and RJP ones in other 15 in Province 2, FSFN leader Parshuram Basnet told Setopati. FSFN, similarly, will field 35 candidates for provincial assembly and RJP 29. "Ticket sharing between the two parties has been finally completed. We will soon announce candidates for each constituency," Basnet added.
Nepali Congress will also hold discussion with FSFN and RJP for electoral alliance. RJP leader Sarbendra Nath Shukla said NC has sought some time as it is busy in internal discussions now. "The three parties have already reached an informal agreement on not fielding candidates against top leaders of each other," Shukla stated. "We are making efforts to go to the election with agreement as far as possible," he added.
He revealed that the three parties have also agreed to defeat the left alliance at any cost. NC has given assurances to support FSFN Chairman Upendra Yadav in Morang-5, according to him.
