Nominations for the second phase of federal and provincial elections in 45 districts scheduled for
December 7 will be filed on Thursday.
The second phase will elect 128 parliamentarians and 256 provincial assembly members. Nominations in 32 mountainous districts, that will go for vote on
November 26, have already been filed on October 22.
Preparations for filing nominations have already been completed, according to the Election Commission. Parties have decided candidates for the majority of constituencies by
Wednesday evening, but they have yet to decide in a few ones.
Candidates can file nominations by presenting the official recommendation letter of the party, and a person to propose and another to support the candidacy. Both the persons who propose and support the candidacy must be from the constituency for which nominations will be filed.
Those filing nominations for provincial assembly election should also present evidence that their name is in the voter list of the constituency for which they are filing nominations.
