The CPN-UML Vice-Chairman Bamdev Gautam, who is contesting the polls from Bardiya-1 to the House of Representatives, has committed to controlling the Babai River.
Speaking in an election program organized by the left alliance, Gautam, who is also the common candidate of the alliance, on Monday said that a new government formed under the alliance after the elections will reach the reliefs to flood victims, provide compensation to flood eroded landowners and control the river.
He further committed to enhancing the agricultural production by improving and increasing reliable and sufficient irrigation facilities to meet the food requirement in the district.
On another note, he added that the left alliance was forged for political stability and economic prosperity in the country.
Similarly, the provincial candidate from Constituency-1 (B) in the district, Tilak Sharma seconded the Gautam that the left led government will manage these things.
On the occasion, both candidates urged the voters to cast their votes to the alliance candidates for political stability and economic prosperity. They further opined for generating 15,000 MW power by 10 years and modernizing agro sectors.
