Call to withdraw banda
Political parties in the district have appealed to the Khotang Struggle Committee not to shut down public transportation in course of their strike called to protest against the proposal by the Local Level Restructuring Commission.
Locals have been resorting to a general strike against the proposal to establish Lamidanda as a village municipality instead of Mahuregadhi. Locals of Buipa, Rajapani, Bijayakharka, Nunthala also other areas have announced an indefinite strike.
The local parties including Congress, UML, CPN (Maoist center), RPP, CPN-ML, Khumbuwan Rastriya Morcha and Naya Shakti have appealed to the banda enforcers to seek an alternative to the banda. Stating that shutting down of transportation has invited misery to the people, they have also drawn attention of the local administration towards that end.
Meanwhile, the Khotang Transport Entrepreneurs Association has also submitted a memo to the local administration on Wednesday, calling its intervention in opening the roads for public transportation. RSS

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Education Gopal Man Shrestha has said that the Nepal-India relation has been the matter of international concern. DPM Shrestha said this at a program 'Nepal-India relations in changed context' organized here Wednesday by the Center for Nepal and Asian Studies (CNAS) and Political Science Study Association.

Why should we save the ethos of 2015 Nepali constitution?
While Nepal should address voices that question the constitution, it should not undermine the document’s dignity and longevity if the country wants to establish a constitutional culture. No constitution can fulfill all wishes. The drafters of the present constitution should not feel guilty in not securing the consent of all citizens. If the constitution is not fundamentally discriminatory, it has chances to grow further.

The activist may claim the situation has changed and I do agree but still during every month my loved ones turns into untouchables beings.
