Chief Election Commissioner Dr Ayodhi Prasad Yadav on Wednesday has defended sluggish vote counting slamming impatience over vote counting after remaining silent when local election was not held for 20 years.

"There is, no doubt, some delay but there is no need to be worried," he stated. "I am surprised why those who remained silent when local election was not held for 20 years don't have patience to wait for a week," he questioned.

He assured that results of the first phase of local election will arrive within a week. "The main reason for the delay is long ballot. We will now increase counting desks in Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bharatpur and Pokhara metropolitan cities," he said. He revealed that counting desks in Kathmandu will be increased to 11.

He knew everything about me including my struggles with my health.
