As many as 141 people benefited from a free eye checkup camp set up at Sahalkot , a remote village at Nisdi rural municipality in Palpa district.
The eye camp was organized here on Saturday by the Janbikas Parichalan Kendra, a local NGO, with support from Rampur Savings and Credit Cooperatives. The Kaligandaki Eye Care Center provided the technical assistance.
Of the total 141 people who underwent free eye examination at the camp, 14 people were found to be suffering from cataract. The eye patients were also provided with free medicines on the occasion. Locals were very happy to avail the free eye checkup and medicines at their locality, said Prem Bakabal, one of the beneficiaries.
