Motorcyclist killed in Kathmandu road accident


A man was killed when the passenger bus (Ba 79 Pa 2985) collided with the motorcycle (Ba 3 Kha 2613) he was riding at Nepaltar in Takeshwor municipality-11 in the capital on Tuesday night.

The deceased has been identified as Chandra Prakash Moktan, 26, of Nuwakot. He died in the course of treatment at Grande International Hospital, said Chief of the Metropolitan Police Circle, Balaju, Bishwo Raj Khadka.

Moktan, who was temporarily living in Kavresthali, was Secretary of Moktan Nepal Students Union at NR College, said NSU central member Sushil Bhatta. Injured in the accident, Milan Pariyar, the 22-year-old pillion passenger of Khotang, was receiving treatment at National Trauma Centre. The bus that met with the accident was headed to Sheshmati from Balaju Baipas.

The police have taken under control both the bus and motorcycle and held the bus driver.
