Palpa Festival transactions hit Rs 120m

The Palpa Festival and Trade Fair organized by the Palpa Chamber of Commerce and Industry performed transactions worth Rs 120 million. The festival and trade fair was held at the Tundikhel ground in Tansen from February 15 to 25. The total transactions in the fair which was visited by 300,000 people amounted to Rs 121 million, said the Fair financial management sub-committee coordinator Deepak Prasad Pandey. The festival-cum-fair featured various local dishes, children's park, the life-size statue of historical figure Colonel Ujir Singh Thapa, an exhibition of photos depicting the famous religious and historical sites in the district, woodcraft, local cottage and small industry products, turkey, camel, ostrich, a demo on construction of earthquake-resistant house and agricultural and forest products.
