An 18-year-old girl appearing the Secondary Education Examinations (SEE) in Surkhet, who was found dead Tuesday morning at her rented room, is learnt to have been murdered.
Gauri Kala Rokaya of Sairagaun in Panchapuri municipality-3 was a student of Surya Prakash Secondary School, Palete in the district. She was appearing the examinations from a center based in Surkhet Bidya Jyoti Secondary School at Panchapuri municipality-5.
Police have arrested three suspects including a traffic police after finding police involvement in her murder.
They arrested Hari Koirala of temporary traffic post at Babiyachaur and Laxmi Prasad Bastola of Panchapuri municipality-8.
Bastola said that he had introduced Gaurikala Rokaya to Koirala after Koirala urged him to find a girl for having physical relation with. As per his statement, Rokaya and Koirala had met in the jungle near her rented room Monday afternoon and had their lunch along with drinks.
"On returning, Koirala, who was riding a motorcycle, met an accident in which she was injured. She was not taken for treatment rather Koirala took her to the rented room," Chief at District Police Office, Surkhet SP Uma Prasad Chaturvedi said. According to Chaturvedi, Rokaya breathed her last at around 1 am.
Preparations are on to make the convicts public by organizing a press conference at 3 pm Wednesday.
