Police has arrested a person here Friday morning with a large cache of hashish he was transporting to Birgunj from Kathmandu. Twent- four year- old Sachikanta Kushwaha of Manipur, India was held in this connection. Police, in course of carrying out a vehicle check, confiscated 160.5 kg of the banned substance from the container bearing Indian registration number plate (HR 55 X 2549) Kushwaha was driving, Deputy Superintendent Ram Bahadur KC said. A joint police team of the District Police Office and the Area Police Office, Gajuri confiscated the contraband which was being smuggled to India.
