Solar energy inside Singha Durbar from today

Solar energy will be used at the Singha Durbar from Monday. Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and Chinese ambassador to Nepal Yu Hong will jointly inaugurate the 1-MW solar system installed at the administrative center of the country with Chinese assistance. Solar panels have been installed at the rooftop of all the ministries and offices inside the Singha Durbar except the Finance Ministry. Installation of the panels had started two years ago. Spokesperson at the Energy Ministry Joint Secretary Dinesh Ghimire said solar energy will make a big contribution even though it will not be sufficient to meet all the energy needs inside the Singha Durbar.
