A South Korean organization has extended a helping hand in reconstructing a school building that was damaged in a fire last year. Global Education for Republic All Foundation donated Rs 10 million to reconstruct Bal Mandir Basic School at Beni municipality-4.
Nepalis in South Korea helped collect the amount on the initiatives of sub-coordinator for the Non-Resident Nepali Association Asia Pacific Region Binod Kunwar, also school's former student, and Sangita Karki Kunwar from Myagdi.
The foundation stone for the school building was laid amid a program on Tuesday. The new building will have 10 rooms for classes, and other purposes. "The donation will be of a great help in the building reconstruction," said school head teacher Ram Prasad Poudel.
