The main accused of smuggling of 33 kilograms of gold and murder of Sanam Shakya, has been made public. The probe committee formed under Joint Secretary at the Home Ministry Ishwor Raj Paudel made Chuda Mani Uprety, aka Gore, public organizing a press conference at the ministry premises Tuesday afternoon. Paudel said Gore will be produced before the Morang District Court Tuesday itself. "We will produce him to the court today itself as he is the main accused," he stated. "The network of gold smuggling is mazy. We have received new additional information and continue investigation on that." He revealed that Gore was arrested from Gaurighat of Kathmandu Tuesday morning. The issue of 33 kilograms of gold smuggled through the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) on January 23 came to the fore after the body of Shakya of Urlabari, who died while being tortured on charge of stealing that gold, was recovered in Biratnagar on March 2.
