As many as 60 students of Aathrai rural municipality in Tehrathum have been provided school uniform, stationery materials and school bags.
The local Deurali Society picked up 60 students from the local community on the basis of merit for the distribution of assistance.
According to society social mobilizer, Subash Kandangwa, the materials were distributed to students in the witnesses of local representatives recently. They received assistance worth Rs 1,000 each.
Among the beneficiaries, seven are from each Hawaku, Iwa, Chhatedhunga, Chuhandanda, Thoklung and Khamlalung and nine from Sankranti.
Meanwhile, the society in financial support of the Action Aid Nepal, has launched the Local Rights Programme at all seven wards of the rural municipality. Under the program, children from indigent households will receive support for their education, according to society program coordinator Nar Bahadur Ambung.
