Ten persons have died and two rescued when a jeep plunged into the river in Dolpa on Monday.
A Mahindra Bolero jeep (Bhe 1 Cha 1610) going to Supani from district headquarters Dunai plunged into Thulibheri river Monday afternoon. Chief District Officer (CDO) of Dolpa Bhupendra Thapa said the jeep skidded off the road at Kalagauda and plunged into the river around 45 minutes after leaving Dunai.
Two persons have been rescued alive, according to CDO Thapa. He revealed that the jeep has now been taken out from the river.
The reason of the accident has yet to be known.
