CPN Chairman and former prime minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has also fallen ill after his wife Sita was hospitalized on Sunday.
Dahal is taking rest on advice of doctors after being down with viral fever, according to his secretariat. Doctors have advised Dahal to avoid political meetings and not attend public programs for a few days.
Dahal's wife Sita and daughter-in-law and Water Supply Minister Beena Magar are also down with common cold. Sita and Magar are currently being treated at Sumeru Hospital in Dhapakhel.
Sita was hospitalized on Sunday and Magar, who was not able to go to the ministry since Friday, Monday evening.
She has been ill for a long time. She was taken to Singapore for treatment toward the end of 2018 after tests at different hospitals in Nepal could not diagnose her ailment. She was diagnosed with progressive supranuclear palsy there.
Dahal had taken her to the Tatopani pond in Myagdi for water therapy in November 2018.
