One killed in Jajarkot tractor accident
A person was killed when a tractor that he was travelling in overturned at Chuika, Dhime VDC-1 of Jajarkot district today.
The tractor (Bhe 1 Ta 5707) was carrying fortified food and heading towards Gharanga of Dhime from the district headquarters.
The deceased was identified as 24-year-old Hari Bahadur Pun of Bheri Malika-2. He died on the spot while the tractor driver Lal Bahadur Chadara of Surkhet sustained injuries, police said. Chadara was taken to the district headquarters for treatment. RSS
Two swamp deer released to Chitwan National Park
Two Swamp deer that were brought from Shuklaphanta National Park, Bardiya have been released to the Chitwan National Park (CNP) Thursday morning. CNP Chief Conservation Officer Ram Chandra Kandel shared that the deer were released from Padampur Block under the Eastern Sector of the national park Wednesday. "We came up with deer at 2 am last night and released them this morning as per the translocation plan", Kandel added.
Baitadi maternity service shuts after heavy rain with wind
A maternity service center based in Purchaudi Municipality-5, Kuwakot of Baitadi has come to closure after the rainfall followed by strong wind caused damages to the center. The downpour with wind on Sunday evening had swept away the corrugated roof of the Safe Maternity Service Center. With this the medicines and materials used for maternity service and beds were also damaged, said In-charge of Kuwakot Health Facility, Lokesh Joshi.
Missing Taiwanese tourists found, one dead
Two Taiwanese tourists missing since March 8 have been found. However, one was found dead and other unconscious after falling into a gorge. They were found in the Rubibvyali Rural Municipality of northern Dhading by a search team, according to former Chairman of Ganesh Himal Tourism Development Committee Kul Bahadur Gurung. Laing Sin Yun, 21, was found in an unconscious state while 19-year-old Liu Chen Chun was found dead.

The Youth SAARC Regional Conference concluded in Kathmandu on Tuesday issuing a five-point Kathmandu Declaration. The two-day conference, organized by Youth Parliament Nepal in coordination with Youth Advocacy Nepal, National Youth Council, Sahakarya Nepal and National Federation of Youth Nepal, discussed eight different papers.

Challenges for reconstruction
One of the major challenges faced in the reconstruction process of Nepal is the absence of elected local government. Lack of government in local level was reflected in the major pre-disaster and post-disaster events, where it took months to reach the affected region and still no widely-accepted data is available. In the absence of an elected local government, top-down approach of governance has its own accountability deficit.

I have seen my sisters and friends isolated and treated in discriminatory manner during their first menstruation cycle. They were not allowed to look at the sun, to touch water source, flower, fruits, any male family member, nor even hear their voice. The activist may claim the situation has changed and I do agree but still during every month my loved ones turns into untouchables beings.
