Flash flood sweeps away under construction bridge in Khotang
A flash flood in the Sapsu River has swept away an under construction bridge connecting Rajapani area and Batase of Khotang.
The flooding on Wednesday swept away the bridge due to negligence on part of the contractor company which failed to complete its task despite extension of the deadline.
The bridge should have been completed by the first week of May, but due to the flooding it is unlikely to meet the extended deadline as well. The construction of the bridge started two years ago under an agreement of a total investment of Rs 20 million.
Rajapani area's local Punya Regmi blamed the contractor company for the delay in construction of the bridge. He accused the company of resuming work every year after the start of the monsoon season. RSS

I thought it was a friendly hug but slowly he started crossing his limits. I shouted and stopped him. He wasn’t drunk. He tried to use me. He abused me. He knew everything about me including my struggles with my health.

Menstrual taboo outdated
I have seen my sisters and friends isolated and treated in discriminatory manner during their first menstruation cycle. They were not allowed to look at the sun, to touch water source, flower, fruits, any male family member, nor even hear their voice. The activist may claim the situation has changed and I do agree but still during every month my loved ones turns into untouchables beings.
