International Sports Meet to take place on April 14

The International Sports Conference will be held in Solukhumbhu on April 14.

The conference, being organized by the Nepal Martial Arts Self Defence Association, will take place at Pattale in Solukhumbu Municipality and will be participated by representatives from various countries, said the Association central president DB Ranapal.

For the meeting, a total of 17 representatives from various countries including Nepal have arrived here to take part and the arrival process was continuing, he added.

The preparations have reached their final stage, he said. The conference aims to make Solukhumbu known to international level through sports and it will also take a positive step in promoting tourism in Nepal, he said.

The meet will also provide opportunities for participants to explore and observe the mountains including Mt Everest and know the culture and lifestyle of the local people, he said. RSS
