CPN (Maoist Center) leader and former Deputy Prime Minister Krishna Bahadur Mahara has accused the government of trying to avoid the people's mandate by presenting constitutional difficulties in regard with the formation of a new government.
Speaking at a press meet organised by Press Center Kaski here Wednesday, Mahara said the left alliance forged between the CPN-UML and CPN (Maoist Center) was in mood of forming a new government only after the National Assembly election scheduled for February 7 to avert any untoward misunderstanding between them.
According to him, there is no alternative for both parties to going for unification as per the people's mandate there were given through the recent elections to the House of Representatives and State Assemblies and efforts toward that end are underway.
