UML's Shiva Maya Tumbahamphe elected deputy speaker of HoR

Shiva Maya Tumbahamphe of CPN-UML has been elected deputy speaker for the House of Representatives (HoR). She received 201 votes in her favor and garnered 58 votes against her. Her rival candidate for the post from Nepali Congress Pushpa Bhushal has garnered 61 votes in her favor and received 201 votes against her. CPN (Maoist Center) leader Dev Prasad Gurung had proposed Tumbahamphe for the post, while Bhusal by NC leader Dila Sangraula.
