The police have intensified the search, through the International Criminal Police Organisation (Interpol), for fugitive Provincial Assembly member Rajib Gurung, known as Dipak Manange, said Nepal Police's Spokesperson Manoj Neupane.
Manange, a murder convict, who won a Provincial Assembly seat from Manang province (B) in the recently held elections to the State Assemblies, has been on the run following an arrest order by the Supreme Court on January 16.
The court convicted and sentenced Manange to five years in prison upholding the verdict of the then Appellate Court in his case. The Interpol also issued a red corner notice, which means police of 192 member countries will be searching for Manange.
"A search has been up for Manange at home and abroad," said Neupane.
