Prime Minister (PM) KP Sharma Oli has reached New Delhi for a three-day India visit Friday morning.
Indian Home Minister Raj Nath Singh welcomed Oli at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi. He was greeted by External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj when he last visited India as PM in 2016.
Oli will have a bilateral meeting with Indian PM Narendra Modi on Saturday.
Oli took off on a regular Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) flight at nine in the morning leading a 45-member team on invitation of his Indian counterpart Modi.
His wife Radhika Shakya, Foreign Minister Pradeep Kumar Gyawali, Industry, Commerce and Supplies Minister Matrika Yadav, Physical Infrastructure and Transport Minister Raghuvir Mahaseth, PM Oli's chief advisor Bishnu Prasad Oli are also in the Oli's team.
Lawmakers from different political parties, bureaucrats and others are also flying to Delhi. People from the film industry, actor Rajesh Hamal and director Dinesh DC, have also been included in the team for the first time.
Oli will also meet Indian President Ram Nath Kovind, Vice President Venkaiah Naidu, different Cabinet Ministers, President of Indian National Congress Rahul Gandhi and leaders of other different parties during his visit.
He will return back Sunday evening.
