Inspector General of Nepal Police Sarbendra Khanal and IGP of Armed Police Force Sailendra Khanal received their respective IGP Insignia Thursday.
At a function held at the Ministry of Home Affairs Thursday morning, Home Secretary Prem Kumar Rai presented the badge to the two newly appointed IGPs. Both the IGPs will assume office from Thursday itself.
They were appointed to the post of IGP by Tuesday’s meeting of the Council of Ministers.
Outgoing IGP of Nepal Police Prakash Aryal and IGP of Armed Police Force Singha Bahadur Shrestha retired on Wednesday due to the 30 years service limit.
