Prime Minister (PM) and CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli on Thursday has said Nepali Congress (NC) is no longer a competitor and is a supportive party.
“NC has a history. We will move forward taking it with us,” PM Oli said while speaking at a program organized at Balkhu to mark the death anniversary of UML leaders Madan Bhandari and Jeev Raj Ashrit. “We all together will build the country. Congress will contribute in that.”
He also urged NC to not fear that the government will impose autocracy. “This unification is not to become oppressive. It is for development,” he assured.
Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal speaking during the program stated that he is proud that unification is happening on the death anniversary of Bhandari. Maoist leaders Narayan Kaji Shrestha and Ram Bahadur Thapa were also present during the program.
