Three including fugitive murder accused Abhiram Sharma have been sworn in as state ministers in Province 2 on Wednesday.
Sharma, Suresh Mandal and Dimple Kumari Jha have been sworn in by Chief Minister (CM) Lal Babu Raut on recommendation of Rastriya Janata Party Nepal (RJP). "The federal government did not show any interest on such serious issue. A fugitive murder accused has become state minister from today," a RJP leader told Setopati.
Sharma has been appointed in the social development ministry, Jha physical infrastructure, and Mandal industry, tourism, forests and environment.
The Dhanusha District Court had issued an arrest warrant in the name of Sharma on charge of murdering sub inspector of Nepal Police Aman BK, who was injured during the Madhesh Movement in Jaleshwore in 2015, while being taken to Janakpur for treatment.
The police had included Sharma in the wanted list and was searching for him.
Coordinator of the chairman council of RJP Mahantha Thakur on Monday had recommended the trio for state minister. He was elected to the Provincial Assembly from Mahottari district in absentia.
There was dissatisfaction within the party over recommendation of a fugitive murder accused for the post of state minister.
