Leaders pay final tribute to late Bastola (Photos)

The mortal remains of Nepali Congress (NC) leader Chakra Prasad Bastola was kept at the party office Sanepa from 1:30 pm to 4:00 pm for final tribute on Sunday. The NC former central leader and former foreign minister Bastola was bed-ridden for six years following brain hemorrhage. He is survived by his spouse and two daughters. He was taken to the Bansbari Neuro Hospital Saturday after his condition deteriorated. After the hospital declared him clinically dead, the family took him home on Saturday itself. NC President Sher Bahadur Deuba, senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel and General Secretary Shashanka Koirala, among others, reached the party office to pay final tribute. The last rites of Bastola are to be performed at the Pashupati Aryaghat Sunday.
