Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is all set to visit two east Asian countries– Vietnam and Cambodia.
Preparations are on for the PM’s visits after both the countries invited him for the bilateral visits, informed Foreign Affairs Ministry.
Vietnam has invited PM Oli as the chief orator of the function to be organized on May 18 coinciding with Buddha Purnima.
Preparations are also underway to reform the bilateral air service agreement during PM’s visit to Vietnam.
Earlier, Nepal had signed air services pact with Vietnam in 2015. However, the agreement was not implemented. During PM’s visit to Vietnam, the bilateral air service agreement will be reformed to make arrangements to charter flight from Vietnam to Gautam Budhha International Airport in Bhairahawa.
PM Oli will embark on an official visit to Cambodia after wrapping up his visit to Vietnam.
PM Oli has rarely made official visits to these two countries having a majority of people following Buddhism.
