Govt is slack on performance: Deuba

The party president stated that he would form the NSU’s ad-hoc committee in consultation with the students. “The time has come for the NSU which has led important movements in the country to go out for an agitation against the government,” he added.

He stressed on the Nepali Congress to be united and wage an agitation against the government. “The NSU working committee will be constituted soon and this committee should work towards expanding the organization and in protesting the wrong activities of the government,” he said.

Party leader Prakash Man Singh alleged the present government of trying to impose the communist authoritarianism in the country. “The NSU should work towards expanding its organization base,” he said.

Joint general secretary Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat opined that the importance of the NSU has further increased in the present times as an organization that had been at the forefront of the democratic movements waged in the country so far.

Party spokesman Bishwa Prakash Sharma underscored the need of forming the new working committee of the NSU promptly and including it in the ‘awareness campaign’.

NSU leader Lila Ballav Dahal ‘Kaka’ said that many schools in Kathmandu were found charging more than Rs 100,000 as admission fee while admitting students in Class 1 and the NSU should vigorously protest this.
