Socialist Party Nepal formed after unification of Federal Socialist Forum Nepal (FSFN) led by Deputy Prime Minister (DPM) Upendra Yadav and Naya Shakti Party Nepal by former PM Baburam Bhattarai has announced its office-bearers on Monday.
Chairman of the party's federal council Bhattarai announced the names of office-bearers during the program organized at the Nepal Academy to announce unification of the two parties.
Yadav will chair the central committee as the party has opted for two chairmen.
Ashok Kumar Rai will be the party's senior leader and Rajendra Shrestha co-chairman.
The party has announced eight vice-chairmen including Navaraj Subedi, Parshuram Khapung, Yuvaraj Karki, Rakam Chemjong, Renu Kumari Yadav, Lal Babu Raut, Hisila Yami and Hem Raj Rai.
The party has kept three general secretaries including Ganga Narayan Shrestha, Rana Dhwaj Kandangba, Ram Sahay Prasad Yadav while Dambar Khatiwada, Dan Bahadur Bishwokarma and Prakash Adhikari will be deputy general secretaries.
Mohammad Istiyak Rai, Durga Sob, Parshuram Basnet, Prashant Singh are the secretaries. The party will name two more secretaries in the future.
Bijay Kumar Yadav has been named the treasurer.
