Minister Pokharel leaves for China

Minister for Education, Science and Technology Giriraj Mani Pokharel has left here Wednesday for Beijing of China to participate in the international conference on 'Artificial Intelligence and Education'. The conference is co-organized by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China. Artificial intelligence (AI) related to the computer science is demonstrated through machines. A total of 160 UNESCO member states, international organizations and representatives from the AI industries will be attending the event taking place in Beijing on May 16-18. The conference is expected to provide a platform for its participants to share experiences on the development of AI skills, discussing about its utilization in education and learning process in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG)s which focus on the promotion of equitable, inclusive and quality education.
